On February 24, 2016, President Obama signed into law the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act. The new law will see the biggest expansion of drawback in our nation’s history.
The new law builds upon the original eight-digit substitution drawback, which has previously been exclusive to petroleum products and their derivatives. DHL Drawback Services (then Gulf Coast Drawback Services) was on the forefront of that legislation, and will again be on the forefront of the new legislation.
DHL Drawback is prepared to analyze and adjust current drawback programs in accordance with the new legislation, and has identified new opportunities for many who could not previously benefit.
